Tile designs from Miami, Havana, San Juan, New Orleans, and Philadelphia — places Linda traveled in 2023. Commissioned by Philadelphia International Airport for the yearlong Jawn 7 exhibit alongside four other Philadelphia artists.
Series Statement
"Recorrido" translates to trip, or journey. El Recorrido features tile designs with imagery and symbols from places I visited in 2023 — Miami, Havana, San Juan, New Orleans, and my hometown of Philadelphia.
This artwork was designed for the Philadelphia International Airport as part of the yearlong exhibit, Jawn 7 — featuring five Philadelphia artists. It will be seen by an estimated five million travelers during its run.
